Ironzilla Teams Up with Castle Crashers Composers for Game on Kickstarter
Castle Crashers fans rejoice! A new game from Indie game creators at Ironzilla are currently working towards getting funding for a new game for IOS with music done by Symphony of Specters, the geniuses behind the Castle Crashers soundtrack.
Ironzilla currently has 10 more days remaining on Kickstarter until their game funding has officially ended. With Indie game companies succeeding on Kickstarter for help with funding for their new titles, it is no surprise that others will follow. Also, the fact that Symphony of Specters are the ones doing the soundtrack shows they are going all out for this game.
Tom Fulp, CEO of Newgrounds and co-creator of Castle Crashers says, “The music created by the Symphony plays a prominent role in the Xbox Live Arcade game Castle Crashers. It would not have been the same experience without those tracks!”
Taking place amidst the zombie apocalypse, Zombocalypse’s soundtrack will feature both orchestral and ambient scores, all intricately tailored to immerse the player in it’s frantic arcade style action. Just like with Danny Baranowsky’s work in Super Meat Boy, and Jim Guthries music in Sword & Sworcery EP, the soundtracks produced by SoS will be promoted as an album.
“It’s a common avenue for Kickstarter projects and is usually successful with the fans,” says SoS musical composer Nick Perrin about the Zombocalypse album. “A game experience really gives it’s music more value, and vice versa as well, getting fans hyped and spreading word with content that will capture the feel of that experience.”
Ironzilla is currently running a Kickstarter campaign for Zombocalypse. Those who back the project will receive a copy of the official soundtrack album, as well as other cool rewards such as their name in the game, the Zombocalypse development book, t-shirts, and posters.
With just 10 days left, Ironzilla hopes to receive the support from gamers everywhere, especially those who appreciate great music and zombie mayhem on the go.
