Genre:
Almost total mayhem is extremely fun for the price, I would like to label this game as a twist on Real Time Strategy, with a combination of team 2v2.

Gameplay and Controls:
The gameplay it not so simple, the object of the game is destroy the opposing teams castle with the help of a bomb. There is also power ups throughout the level to help you defeat your opponent from killing your team-mate as they try to carry or hit the bomb towards the enemy castle. The controls seem pretty sturdy and at times they feel difficult to get use to, while you start out as a normal knight, changing to the power up can give you poor advantage point as most of them make you move slow, this is turn is fair because those power ups such as a heavy weapon or a shield makes it so your teammate can finish demolish the other castle. You must try to defend your castle as well from the other team trying to destroy yours.

Graphics and Sound:
I like the look of this, it gives a sort of quirky Nightmare before Christmas feel as well as the music. If Tim Burton was to ever make a game on the indies he surely would be making something like this. The excentric artwork such as a lined paper background with extraordinary art is surely great to look at. The music gives a relaxing feel and sort of suspense mixed in there.

Conclusion:
I would honestly say I can recommend this game for gamers who want to have a different pace in gaming. Although it doesn’t seem to have more than 1 level it surely is just fun to play.

Off the review notes: I found it at first difficult to play, but using the power ups was pretty cool, although moving slow it was just fun to see me hit the opposing team out of the map. I played for quite some time before gathering my thoughts, even though it is one level, I had a lot of fun just seeing how many times I could beat the AI. The AI is most superior in this game and you have to keep up with the pace.

  1. I love the art style in this game.

I’d really like to see a good Metroidvania style platformer done in this aesthetic.
